Rcvr, (pronounced "receiver") came from the reincarnation of former Chicago band Shanghai Superstars. Looking for a change of pace in a fresh, new direction, Rcvr reinvented themselves with brand-new material, a line-up change, and a more refined and versatile sound!
Rcvr's unique sound is essentially a combination of catchy alternative with funky reggae and pop overtones. Their styles range from aggressive riffs, to colorful and infectious melodies, to charming reggae tunes. Don't expect to hear one drab sound over and over - it won't happen.
